IFRTD Asia Regional Meeting 2006

Eight National Forum Groups (Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines,Sri Lanka), two potential National Forum Groups as observers (Lao PDR and China), two instituional members (Practical Action and ILO ASIST) and South East Asia Community Access Programme (SEACAP) met at the 5th Asia Regional Meeting (ARM), 2006 at the Grand Mercure Hotel in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from 19th to 21st August, 2006.
The delegates decided on regional themes and agreed up on systems to keep the discussion on using dgroups. The third day of the ARM was a workshop to contribute to the IFRTD Strategy for the next five years. Important contributions and ideas were fed in to the strategy development process by the members.
Two representatives from Indonesia and Pakistan were elected from the Asia Region to attend the IFRTD Executive Committee Meeting on 21st to 23rd November, 2006.
