IFRTD and SDC sign new 4-year core agreement

At the recent Executive Committee Meeting held in Bern and hosted by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Thomas Zeller, Senior Advisor within SDC’s Social Development Division, announced that they had approved a new core agreement for IFRTD. The core agreement, which is signed by Practical Action as IFRTD’s host but will be transferred to IFRTD once independent, is for four years (2008-2011) and totals 1.2 million CHF.
Having been involved with IFRTD from its inception in the nineties this new agreement is proof of SDC's commitment not only to the Secretariat and the network but also to the issue of pro-poor transport policies and practices. This new agreement will enable IFRTD to continue to advocate for pro-poor transport policies across the world.
