NFRTD Annual Charter approves the Strategy 2007/08 for activities in Nepal
2007-08-11
Nepal Forum for Rural Transport and Development (NFRTD), the IFRTD affiliated National Forum Group in Nepal is now a legal entity in Nepal after going through a long procedure. The NFRTD held their Annual Charter (Annual General Meeting) on the 8th June, 2007 in Kathmandu with a packed audience of members and well wishers.
The Strategic Plan for 2007/08 drafted by the NFRTD Working Committee was presented to the membership at this Annual Charter for discussion. After some discussion and clarifications the strategy was approved. The current Working Committee was re-elected with two new additional members with Mr. Bidhan Rajbhandari (GTZ Nepal) as Chairperson and Mr. Ram P.Risal (Helvetas Nepal)as the General Secretary.
Policy advocacy, networking and information sharing of best transport practices were the key areas under their new strategy.
