IFRTD and SEACAP join hands in organising workshop

The South East Asia Community Access Programme (SEACAP) is organising its annual Practitioners Workshop to be held in Hanoi Vietnam on 12th and 13th of September 2007 to which selected IFRTD National Forum Group representatives from Asia will be invited. The workshop will provide an opportunity to interact with international rural infrastructure practitioners, learn more and share experiences in rural infrastructure.
Immediately following this two-day workshop, SEACAP has offered to host and support the annual two-day IFRTD Regional Meeting for Asia where the National Forum Groups (NFG) and the Asian Institutional Members will come together.
The representatives of the IFRTD affiliated Asian NFGs will meet and present their progress in terms of exchanging of knowledge and experience within the region, carrying out policy advocacy programmes, and activities related to rural transport development in their own countries. The meeting will also give them an opportunity to contribute strategically to the IFRTD Executive Committee Meeting in December 2007 and also plan the regional and country activities related to rural transport issues prevailing in their countries.
