Agricultural economist with training in gender. Fourteen years of varied experience in development theory and practice. Lectures in the Departments of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, and Women’s and Gender Studies, Makerere University. As an independent consultant, undertaken more than 50 assignments in over 10 countries for various development agencies, decentralised local governments, civil society organisations as well as the private sector. Experience includes gender analysis; participatory appraisal, strategic planning, gender budgeting, programme identification, implementation, monitoring and evaluation; agricultural and socio economic research; report writing and editorial work; curriculum development, designing and delivering training courses in development management, gender, development economics and rural development. Expertise in the design and implementation of mainstreaming programmes. Specialist experience of socio-economic aspects of the transport sector.
